The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District has opened four community biomass collection sites. The intent of this project is to encourage homeowners to create defensible space and reduce hazardous fuels. If left unabated, these hazardous fuels will result in an increased threat to homes in the event of a wildfire. You can bring the hazardous fuels to any of these locations for free disposal.
